This is no hoax. I've been following the path of this thing's development and I
shudder at the thought of it. This movie is likely to be bad - very, very, bad!
There just does not seem to be any way that you could make a live-action version
of DBZ that does not completely fail to reinvoke any of the admiration once
given to that show. It has been a long time since that show was on the air, but
then again the video games have still been coming out every year. Who knows, the
movie might succeed because no one might remember the anime well enough. I for
one, especially considering teh cost of going to the theaters, don't intend to
spend my good money to go see it; i'll wait to it shows up somewhere on basic
cable.
Well, if you're talking about the real world, there is no way that a sword beats
out a gun; it's a matter of accuracy and speed, but if you can at least pull a
trigger, you'd have an advantage over a knife or sword. However, you get into
anime and it's a bit more complicated because of the god-like abilities
associated with the user. Kenshin had the speed of his draw on his side, and
Vash had his quick and accurate trigger.
In the end, I say, why choose. I say take the same route as Dante from Devil May
Cry, use a gun and a sword.
To me it comes down to one simple fact. In 90% of the cases, American cartoons,
whether children cartoons or more "mature" cartoons, have little to no
internal continuity. What I mean is that you can have one episode and there is
no guarantee the events will be related to anything that happened in an earlier
one. Most American cartoons seem to be like a series of half hour OVAs. However,
Japanese Anime is more like American primetime, non-reality t.v programming, but
with moer enjoyable stories. Anime, even the comedies, usually have an internal
story line that each episode builds towards. The artwork between mediums is not
a big concern to me. There is no doubt a lot of anime have very beautiful scenes
and character designs, but some very good anime have similar animation stylees
to some decent cartoons. Sorry to say as an American, but there's no way that
I'd pick any American cartoon over an anime; anime are a different creature and
just too good. It's a shame more Americans can't see that anime aren't the same
as cartoons.
Definitely, absolutely, positively love C.C. She is just such an enjoyable
character. Her personality is a amazing mix of shyness, coyness, attitude, and
innocence. At times she's sweet, others she seems cold and manipulative. Plus
she is very beautiful.
If we're talking about who is least likely to win a fight just for fighting's
sake, I would have to agree that it would be Orihime or Yuzu. If we're talking
about actual power, I forsee Orihime actually being near the top in power, but
Yuzu still would probably be near the bottom.
This is nearly impossible to objectively judge as it would take some very
complicated inter-series analysis. When taking into account that what is seen in
the show also makes the distinction difficult becasue it is rarely seen where
more than one pilot uses a single mobile suit; different pilots will be able to
use different suits to a varying degree of expertise. With all that said, I
think that Wing Zero Custom would likely be the best due to the fact that
despite the stressors created from teh ZERO system, it is a suit that can
respond to pretty much anyone who sits in the cockpit in addition to having
perhaps one of the deadliest weapons ever in the twin buster rifile.
What a sad day that would be. No, I don't think there will ever
come a time when I shall stop watching anime. If an old man can sit down and
watch 1950s cartoons and enjoy it, I don't see why I can't do the same once I'm
that old. Anime 4Ever!
One can only hope that Kenpahci of Zeraki gains the ability to use shikai and
bankai, because we can all imagine just how devestatingly brutal it would
probably be. Contrast that with Yachiru's insanely unimposing figure, I can't
even begin to imagine what her release would be like. Then there's Mr. Hat and
Clog's Benihime... so much to look forward to.
Some anime have really good endings, and you miss those a little less because
they at least had a good wrap up. Others however have horrible endings with
nothign resolved. When the series is good and the ending lets you down by being
really bad, i miss the anime more. If i had a choice, none of my favorite anime
would ever end .
I can't remember exactly how long it was, but I watched four different 13
episode animes and the first 26 episodes of Gundam Seed Destiny in one sitting.
Never again will I watch anime in such a manner
I can't imagine the four of them having a serious fight, but it would more or
less go to Ichigo. Ichi isn't the smartest guy, or even the best fighter, but
his instincts are pretty good. Between his bankai and his vizard mask is speed
is way above the others. Ed would have to be really clever to hit him with any
alchemic spells, and we already saw Ed in battles where he's had a hard time of
performing alchemy agaisnt an opponent with some mediocore speed (first time
entering Lab 5). Luffy is fairly strong in his own right, but ultimately Ichigo
could probably take a punch or two. Like a lot of people said already, it really
comes down to Ichigo vs. Naruto. From what i've seen thus far, Naruto may have a
chance, but ultimately power wise Naruto's inner fox and Ichigo's inner hollow
probably negate each other between the power they offer, the healing ability,
and the stamina. From there, Ichigo's speed would likely give him the edge.
Usually switch between three recently; a G. Wing, G. Seed Destiny and a Code
Geass. Don't remember where i got the Wing one, it's really old, but the Seed
and Code Geass ones I got here on MT (thank you very much)
Like a lot of people said, villians can tend to be extremely beautiful (usually
much more vain and utilizing much more sexual appeal), but you do see very
beautiful and appealing heros too. All time favorites; Wicked Lady (Sailormoon)
and Lacus Clyne.
I think shoujoboy has it exactly right. The lead is usually set to drive home a
point, and eventually people get tired of hearing that point. The secondary
characters usually appear briefly or far less often and viewers latch on ot them
because of the fact that we don't seem them too often. Personally i've always
found the lead characters, male or female, to have a lot of appeal.
Then again i do have strange taste. A lot of people seemed to hate Meer from
G.S. Destiny, but i liked her; not more than Lacus, but still, i didn't hate her
like a lot of people seemed to.
Code Geass, definitely! Of course i haven't actually watched all the anime from
2007 as of yet, but of the ones that seem to be most popular that i have seen,
Code Geass, absolutely.
There's no doubt that Lelouch and C.C. are a perfect couple, but that's probably
why they won't end up together. It always seems that the two that should be
perfect together usually never end up staying together in the end,
unfortunately. On a side note, if Euphie wasn't Lulu's sister, I think they
would also have been a good couple and it would be almost a given that she would
have pursued a relationship with Lulu.
If you haven't read the manga or don't know what happened in the manga, then i
don't want to spoil it for you so ignore my next sentence. Kagura dies in the
manga, killed by Neraku or Hakudoshi if memory serves correctly. ANyway, back on
topic, I can't imagine Sesshomaru in a relationship with Kagome. Sesshomaru is
cool, but Kagome is far too energetic and outgoing, more so i think that the
little kid Rin. Sesshy is much less tolerant than his brother and probably
wouldn't put up with her friends the same way Inuyasha does. Remember, Inuyasha
and Koga will fight without seriously trying to kill one another; Sesshomaru
never lets his enemies get away.

Bleach
Code Geass
Blood+ - I've already seen it through a couple times and for some reason can't stop watching it over again ^_^
I'd propose to her and we'd runaway together and get married and live off on a tropical island somewhere :P

Cutest...... Rin from DearS or Chi from Chobits.... or Primula or Nerine from Shuffle... there are a few.
